University of Nebraska-Lincoln officials have chosen a leader for the new Innovation Campus research park that is designed to attract new jobs and businesses to the state.
Chancellor Harvey Perlman says Dan Duncan has been promoted to
be executive director of the Nebraska Innovation Campus, which is
being built on the former State Fairgrounds.
Duncan has been director of UNL's agricultural research division
Perlman says Duncan was a logical choice for the new role because of his background in agricultural research and his experience with setting up the university's research partnership with Bayer CropScience.
The Innovation Campus is designed to be a public-private partnership. The university plans to invest $25 million in the
campus. While developer Woodbury Corp. invests private money.
