A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Pawnee and Richardson counties in southeast Nebraska until 3 p.m. Thursday.
Lawn & garden expert John Fech answered some viewer questions on the Channel 6 News Live at Midday Thursday. Before answering questions, he offered some advice for homeowners on whether to choose sand or ice melt on their sidewalks and driveways.

Since I didn’t get my mums cut back in the fall, when is it a good idea to get that done?
