Lawmakers have scheduled a hearing to explore ways the state can revitalize historic business districts.
The Legislature's Revenue Committee will hear testimony Friday at Metropolitan Community College's South Omaha Campus.
The Revenue and Urban Affairs Committees will consider a proposed interim study that will look at existing tax incentives to generate private investment in historic properties. The study will also look at tools the state can use to help rebuild distressed neighborhoods.
The hearing begins at 1:30 p.m.
