Here is a look at the latest drought maps from The National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
It appears the drought levels have remained fairly steady in eastern Nebraska according to data tabulated through Tuesday of this week. Conditions appear to have worsened a bit across western Iowa.
Aside from a few isolated showers that will try to develop between now and Friday morning, rain chances are near zero the entirety of next week. That combined with high temperatures forecast in the mid 90s next week will more than likely worsen conditions in our area.
