A man tells Omaha police that he brought a woman, he described as a stripper, to his hotel room early Tuesday morning. He was expecting an intimate rendezvous. Instead, he was the victim of an attempted robbery.
The victim, 60-year-old Kim Knecht of Walthill, Nebraska, says that once he and the woman were in his room, another man entered the room and demanded money. The man blocked the door so Knecht couldn’t leave.
The incident was reported at 3:21 a.m. at the 70th & Grover Comfort Inn.
While all of that was happening, the manager sent security to the room after becoming suspicious. The manager tells police that he observed the victim and the woman going to his room. Then, several minutes later, a strange man was seen loitering around the lobby before heading in the direction of the room.
The security guard witnessed the woman and man leaving the room chasing after the victim.
Police arrested 23-year old Crystal Case of La Vista and 21-year old Jesse Drewes of Omaha for attempted robbery. The police report listed Case as being employed as a dancer at a bar near 120th and West Center Road.
