The FBI says authorities returned to a lake in Evansdale, Iowa to check on leads related to the search for two girls now missing for three weeks.
FBI spokeswoman Sandra Breault said authorities went Friday to Meyers Lake, but that there were "no positive results."
Ten-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins, whose ninth birthday was Tuesday, disappeared July 13th while riding their bicycles in Evansdale. Their bikes were found near the lake.
Evansdale Police Chief Kent Smock said officers were looking in a wooded area near the lake. Authorities said they're confident the cousins are not in the lake.
