Twenty-year-old Jossue Alva-Perez of La Vista will spend seven-and-a-half years in prison for receiving child pornography. This is a federal court case. There is no parole.
After his release from prison Alva-Perez will begin a 15 year term of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.
The FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force downloaded several images of child pornography from a computer located in his home. One of the images involved a 6-year-old female engaged in a sexual act with an adult male.
A search warrant was executed at the LaVista residence on January 14, 2013. A total of 94 videos and 75 single images of child pornography were discovered. The child pornography was found on Alva-Perez’s computer and a cell phone. His collection primarily depicted girls between the ages of 9 and 12.
