A lot of people kiss their pets from time to time, but what about a pig? Thursday night in Council Bluffs people were paying money to kiss a pig.
It's all part of an effort to raise money and get the word out about RAGBRAI, which stands for The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. It's coming to Council Bluffs on July 20, 21.
At the Main Street Farmer's Market, for $20 you get to kiss the pig and get a RAGBRAI t-shirt and kids bike helmet.
Some dogs were also given the chance to kiss, or maybe just sniff, the pigs.
The pig is part of Council Bluff's theme for the RAGBRAI event.
Another pig-kissing event is planned for next Thursday during the lunch hour in Bayliss Park.
