Terrance Hale has been sent to prison for life. He attacked his elderly neighbors and set their home on fire.
Hale was sentenced Wednesday life in prison for arson and murder.
In February 2013, Hale broke into his neighbor's home - the home of Bob and Betty Vasholz. Investigators say he tried to rob them and then set the house on fire.
Betty escaped and survived. She identified Hale as her attacker.
Hale had claimed he tried to rescue the couple from the fire.
