Monday was a great day for golf. Indoor golf. Students at Indian Hill Elementary School took advantage of that.
The kids spent part of their day learning the ins-and-outs of the game, including putting, chipping and hitting the long ball.
Nebraska's PGA does this across the city.
David Honnens, CEO of Nebraska PGA said, “Roughly about 5,000 OPS students, K through Six will be introduced to golf, many of them for the very first time. And it is truly a great way to get their hands on the club. At the same time we've got Golfzilla over here today, that's been a hit with the kids as well."
The students will also have an opportunity to take their newly developed skills outdoors later this year when the weather warms up and play on a real golf course.
