Earth Day isn’t until Tuesday, but many people in Omaha celebrated Saturday at Elmwood Park, including kids.
Organizations from across the city set up booths with information and displays on green and healthy living.
There was also music, food, and fun activities for children. They could take home a balloon animal or create some art of their own, like a birds next.
Mark Caughey with Omaha Parks & Recreation helped run the children’s tent.
He said,”The parents get lots of information from all the organizations that are here, but the kids like to have fun, so we think it's really important and Earth Day does too, to have a kids tent where they can do a lot of activities while they're here."
