Officer kicked so woman faces charges.
21-year-old Justine Safarik pled guilty to the Class I Misdemeanors of 3rd degree assault and first offense resisting arrest. She had originally been charged with a Class III Felony but that was reduced when she accepted the plea agreement.
The Cassgram reports Chief Deputy Cass County Attorney Colin Palm said Safarik took an aggressive stance toward a sheriff’s deputy and did not follow orders after law enforcement went to a house on Verdon Circle at Beaver Lake after a 911 call last April. She continued to be unruly and kicked an officer while being booked at Cass County Jail, said Palm.
There is no agreement on sentencing. Sentencing is October 27th.
