The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
The state's Judicial Resources Commission will hold a hearing to determine whether to fill a vacant county court judgeship in southeast Nebraska.
The judgeship is being left vacant with the retirement of Saline County Judge Patrick McArdle, which is effective July 31st.
The hearing, open to the public, will be held August 5th at the State Capitol in Lincoln. At the hearing, the commission will receive information on the district's judicial workload statistics and make a recommendation to the Supreme Court as to where the judgeship should be based if there is a need to fill the vacancy.
