As long as people get sick there will be a need for health care workers and that’s why a specialized job fair drew a crowd to the Comfort Inn at 72nd and Grover in Omaha on Thursday.
Seven health care facilities handed out hiring information. Employment opportunities included nursing, therapists and administrative positions. An estimated 300 people stopped in during the four-hour Health Care Job Fair.
“It’s a good thing to come to a job fair before you put in an application,” said Latisa Pargo. “It’s very informational to what to be prepared for when you go into the interview.”
“I've been offered a couple of jobs the last two weeks and one for seven-and-a-quarter,” said Jennifer Rohde. “Who can live on seven-and-a quarter? Maybe Congress should try living on seven-and-a-quarter per year.”
Omaha.jobs.com sponsored the job fair and plans and even bigger one in the next several weeks.
