Those struggling with unemployment found some hope Thursday at the Kaplan University Job Fair aimed to particularly help hose without jobs in north Omaha.
The four-hour job fair had workshops and 20 different community vendors ready to help folks get back into the workforce. Organizers said the event will help people understand the process of employment, understand their personal employment barriers and career management.
“You got people from all walks of life and me, I ain't been in school for a lot of years so me being the non-traditional student, it helps a lot because they are very flexible in their schedule or whatnot,” said James Jones.
Some of the vendors included Boys Town, Physicians Mutual and Nebraska Furniture Mart.
