Juan Castaneda will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murders of Luis Fernando-Silva and Tari Glinsmann. Castaneda was the third and final man to be sentenced this week for the deadly November 2008 crime spree.
Castaneda’s role in the spree was to pull three victims from their cars that night. The third victim was wounded.
Eric Ramirez was convicted and sentenced earlier this week to life in prison for shooting the victims. The other man involved, Edgar Cervantes, was sentenced to serve at least 46 years for planning the crime spree.
Here is how Thursday’s sentencing went down against Castaneda:
Life in prison for two counts of first-degree murder, 10-15 years for two counts of using a weapon to commit a felony, 10-20 years for one count of attempted murder, 10-15 years for one count of attempted robbery, 10-15 years of one count to use a weapon to commit a robbery, 10-15 years of one count of criminal conspiracy.
The judge granted him 772 days of time served.
