Jermaine Jackman, Davuaghn Johnson, and Deanthony Love are accused of being responsible for Dwayne Greer's murder in Lincoln Sunday, July 31, 2011.
An 18-year-old Lincoln man has pleaded guilty to assault for shooting a man who had already been mortally wounded. Investigators say Deanthony Love fired a non-fatal shot into the victim’s hip last July 31.
The victim, 19-year-old Dwayne Greer, died that night. Investigators say 21-year old Jermaine Jackman fired the fatal shot before Love fired his weapon. Jackman has pleaded not guilty to murder. He is awaiting trial.
A third suspect, 20-year-old Devaughn Johnson, pleaded no contest to being an accessory to the crime.
Love and Johnson are scheduled to be sentenced August 28.
Prosecutors say the four men were at a party and that Greer hit Jackman in the face. At that point, Jackman pulled out a gun.
