An Elkhorn woman gets a call telling her she's the latest winner in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.
Darleen Teten was told she'd won a big prize, $41 million!
However, when the caller on the other end of the line told her she's have to pay $800 to get that prize...she knew it was a red flag.
Then, the caller got pushy.
Teten says this is what he told her. "You are such a lucky woman. Do you know how lucky you are? If you don't take this money, I'll have to give it to the government. And I said, go right ahead because they really need it."
Publishers Clearing House reminds us all, you NEVER have to pay to win a legitimate sweepstakes. It's against the law.
If you do win, the Prize Patrol will find you..
