The fate of Lucy the pot-bellied pig was decided by the Bellevue City Council Monday night.
The council had to decide if Lucy is livestock or a pet. The pig’s owners are asking the city ordinance to be changed to include pot-bellied pigs as pets.
It was a close vote, but Lucy gets to stay with her owners. The council vote was 3 to 3. The Mayor had the tie-breaking vote...and ruled in favor of Lucy's owners.
