The presidents of Iowa's public universities are in for a pay raise. The board on Friday approved a two percent increase for the presidents at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa.
UI President Sally Mason will earn about $493,000, Iowa State President Steven Leath, who started his job in January, will earn $448,000 and retiring UNI President Ben Allen will earn about $340,000. Allen will step down by July 1, 2013 after six years at the helm of the Cedar Falls school.
