A teenager has been linked to a pharmacy robbery where more than a thousand prescription pills were taken.
Des Moines Police say the 17-year-old male was arrested after police responded to a report about a home dispute. While there, officers confiscated about 1,300 prescription pills.
Police say the pills were similar to medication taken from a robbery at Richards Pharmacy on Dec. 23, where a suspect wielded a hammer and demanded cash and pills.
A search warrant was later executed at the home of the dispute. Authorities say clothing and other evidence inside matched items believed to be used in the robbery.
The teenager has been charged with first-degree robbery. He also faces several drug charges.
