Authorities say a 48-year-old woman has been bitten on a finger by a robber in Des Moines.
Police say the woman had gone to visit a friend Sunday morning in the 1200 block of 15th Street.
The woman was told by a man who answered her knock to go around to the back. But as she went around the house, another man met her. The woman says the man demanded her money and punched her in the face. She says he bit one of her fingers as they struggled over $40 she had with her.
She told police the robber got the money and got away.
