WAPELLO, Iowa (AP) - County supervisors in southeast Iowa have approved the site of a monument that would honor six brothers killed during the Civil War.
Louisa County supervisors met Tuesday to discuss the future site of a monument that will honor the Littleton brothers.
The site will be in Toolesboro, located alongside the Mississippi River. The Burlington Hawk Eye reports the siblings' family lived in Toolesboro during the war.
A committee tasked with helping to build the monument says members will meet in May to review a preliminary design. A final one should be completed this summer.
