More pilfered TV sets have been added to the list of those that vanished from the Marriott hotel under construction at 182nd and Cuming. One has been turned over to authorities by someone who said he’d bought it on the street for $200.
The case came to light with the arrests of Tanner Pohlmeier and Juan Garibay. They’re accused of stealing 13 television sets from the hotel on Sunday, April 13.
Another report has since surfaced indicating the seven other TVs were taken from the building on Friday, April 11. They’re described as 39” Philips LCD TVs.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is looking for help from the public to track down the TVs. Investigators say anyone voluntarily turning over the stolen property will not face prosecution.
