An Omaha couple woke up to an unwanted house guest Tuesday morning. A man had broken into their home and was found sleeping on their love seat.
The break-in happened at a house in the Oak Hills neighborhood near 132nd and Q.
The couple believes the man could have gotten in because a deadbolt wasn't pulled all the way to the lock position, and remembered hearing some noises around 5 a.m.
When they woke up around 7, they found the man, as they described, in his late to mid 20's, passed out on their love seat.
"We have a long couch, but he chose the love seat for some reason," said Jean Anderson.
Anderson and her husband decided to have Omaha Police handle the wake up call.
The man reportedly smelled of alcohol and was disoriented when police showed up and put him in handcuffs. Police report that he had been drinking the night before and was trying to walk home.
He has been identified as 32-year-old Ryan Rodriguez. Police took Rodriguez to his real home and cited him for criminal trespassing.
