In Summary: 4 People, 3 Adults, 1 Drunk Minor Driving

Cass County, Nebraska deputies had quite a task ahead of them Sunday night. When they responded to a crash about 10:20pm, they found a vehicle in a ditch and four people walking away from the scene.

This is what they have figured out what happened: There were four people inside the 1997 Honda Prelude, which is registered to 19-year-old Justin Richmeier of Plattsmouth.

A 17-year-old juvenile claims he was driving Richmeier’s car when he misjudged a turn, slid off the road, and hit a tree in the Beaver Lake area.

The boy was arrested and released to his parents for DUI and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

The passengers were also charged. Twenty-two-year-old Kyle Jordan and 33-year old Mark Brice, both of Plattsmouth were cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Richmeier was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

All four refused transport to a hospital. All four were using a seatbelt.
