Improvements Taking Shape After Bond Issue

The work on the Louisville school improvements is wrapping up this summer.

Louisville voters approved a $6.3 million bond issue in September of 2010. A portion of the 57-year-old school building was remodeled. There’s a new addition housing fine arts learning, instrumental and vocal music, a multi-purpose room (also used for wrestling and weightlifting) and community fitness center.

The new football field/8-lane track will be ready for 2012-13, said Geise. It is a completely new field/stadium moved westward a bit from where the old field had been.

The Cassgram reports Louisville’s home football games and track events were held at other locations this school year due to the construction.
