Zion Lutheran School principal David Bliss says more than 20 percent of his 63 students in grades one through eight were out sick on Monday. A teacher also was absent.

He said Tuesday that the students' maladies so far in February have included influenza B, strep throat and upper-respiratory problems.

Bliss ordered the school closed until next Monday, after consulting with physicians.

He says that, as a precaution, all classrooms and gear that is handled is being cleaned and disinfected.
