A suspected credit card thief returned to the Nebraska Furniture Mart for a second shopping spree. That’s when he got more than he bargained for.
Furniture Mart security was waiting this time and subdued the 26 year old man when he tried to get away.
Furniture mart security manager Jim Cahill said, “The guy got away with it once at quite a large amount of money. But he fell for the greed impulse, came back and got caught.”
The suspect named Joshua Milacek of Omaha was held for police who arrested him on two felony theft counts. The first time he allegedly used a stolen mart charge card he walked out with $900 in electronics. That merchandise has not been recovered. Mart security said Milacek returned the next day and used the same stolen charge card.
It belongs to Eli Willms of Omaha who said the card had been stolen out of his locked car early in the week. Willms watched video of the suspect using his name and mart card. Willms said, “I’m surprised he was dumb enough to come back a second time. At the same time I’m glad he did. Its nice to see justice is served.”
During the second shopping spree the identity theft suspect tried to purchase a home security system that included night vision cameras. Little did he know he would be caught on security cameras.
