Police say this man entered the Omaha State Bank, threatened that he had a weapon, and demanded cash. 11/01/10
Omaha police have released a picture of a man they say robbed a bank Monday. Channel 6 News was told at the scene that the robber was asked to remove the hood on his sweatshirt before he could enter.
We are told customers have to be buzzed in at the Omaha State Bank, which is just west of 156th & West Dodge Road. Once the man entered the bank about 3:35pm, he indicated to an employee that he had a weapon.
Once he was given money, the man fled the bank heading southbound. It’s not known if he was on foot or had a car.
He is described as being 6’ to 6’2”, average build, short brown hair, wearing a black or dark colored pull-over hooded sweatshirt and light colored blue jeans. Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call Omaha police at 402-444-7867 or text “OPD” to CRIMES (274637). You can also leave a tip by clicking here.
