Busy off ramps to get work, drivers beware.
The Nebraska Department of Roads announced that weather permitting the Interstate 80 off-ramps at the Mahoney State Park interchange will be closed for paving on Saturday (10/22) from 8am to 5pm.
Detours will be from Greenwood and Gretna onto U.S. Highway 6.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday (10/24) on Nebraska Highway 66 from I-80 east to near the entrance of the Platte River State Park, according to the NDOR.
The Cassgram reports Constructor's, Inc. of Lincoln has the $659,717 contract to remove and relay 2" of asphaltic concrete surface. Traffic on this 6-mile highway improvement project will be controlled by one lane work zones, a pilot car and flaggers. The work is expected to be completed by November.
