A man was taken by helicopter to a local hospital after a crash along Interstate-80.
It happened around 4:00 p.m. just east of the Platte river.
Nebraska State Troopers told Channel Six that the driver of the car fell asleep and went into a ditch and hit a tree.
He was conscious and alert when he was flown to Creighton Medical Center.
Eastbound traffic was shut down for 30 minutes while the medical helicopter took care of the scene.
