We are tracking new ways to stay ahead of the flu.
If you think you're coming down with the bug, Hy-Vee is offering up a free test.
They can test for the flu and strep throat, and the results are fast.
It's free because it's part of a research project that the UNMC College of Pharmacy and Ferris State are heading up.
Experts say these tests can really help people this season.
"There is medication out there. For example, for flu, there's Tamiflu. It's no good. It doesn't do the patient any good unless you get it in the first 48 hours," says Micaila Ruiz, a Pharmacist at the Hy-Vee at 180th and Pacific in Omaha.
To take part, you must be at least 19 years old and showing signs of the flu or strep.
Check with your local store for testing availability.
