Looking to make an addition to your family? How about a pet? The Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha hosted a Pet Rescue Rally on Saturday, giving 25 to 30 licensed rescue groups a place to show off their animals.
Many people were there to check out the different breeds of dogs and cats with the hope some would fall in love with a pet and adopt one.
“We lost our dog in May from cancer and he was a Blue Heeler and we heard about this on the Internet and we thought we would come down and check it out,” said Paul Coffin of Omaha, who was able to find one. He plans to apply to adopt a Blue Heeler and Border Collie mix.
