The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting human rights expert Felice Faer for its E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues.
Faer will speak on Feb. 4 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln about protecting the human rights of religious minorities. Her talk will focus on how world leaders have worked to implement the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act.
Faer is the director of the American Jewish Committee's Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights. She has served as the chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, and she was the first American to serve on the United Nations Committee Against Torture as an independent expert.
