March winds rev up in high gear Wednesday afternoon prompting a wind advisory into the early evening hours.

Southerly winds will be sustained at 25-35 mph with gusts 40-50 mph. With winds that energetic, be particularly careful if driving a high-profile or light-weight vehicle, especially on east to west roads as the winds could really jostle you around quite a bit. Blowing dust and debris will also reduce visibility.

Make sure to secure any loose outside objects like garbage cans, lawn furniture and yard ornaments. Winds will diminish Wednesday night.
