Cass County continues a decade-long trend of having the state’s 3rd highest estimated household income. Cass trailed only Sarpy and Washington counties on the county-by-county list.
The Cassgram reports the U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median household income for Nebraska was $47,470 annually. That’s according to the 2009 estimate report, the most recent analysis available.
The median annual household income in Cass County that year was estimated at $58,141. The Sarpy County estimate was $67,541 and Washington County’s was $59,195.
The 2009 estimates for other nearby counties: Douglas - $49,944, Lancaster - $47,915, Otoe - $46,921, and Saunders - $54,870.
