Anyone traveling to Omaha this spring could benefit if Peyton Manning shouts "Omaha" at least 50 times during Sunday's AFC championship game.
The Denver Broncos quarterback said "Omaha" 44 times in last week's game against the Chargers. The Broncos beat the New England Patriots 26-16 to advance to the Super Bowl.
The Hotels.com travel site says it will offer a 15 percent discount on Omaha hotels through June 1st if Manning uses "Omaha" at least 50 times in his signal-calling.
Five Omaha companies, ConAgra, First National Bank, Mutual of Omaha, Omaha Steaks and Union Pacific have pledged to donate $100 each to Manning's foundation for at-risk youth every time he shouts "Omaha."
DJ's Dugout is another company pledging to donate money and customers are happy about that. "It's a really great idea,” said Bronco fan Rachele Somma. “It's a good way for companies to give back, especially companies in Omaha. And they can really show their support for not only the city, but the Denver Broncos as well.”
