A home invasion takes several twists as the home owner ends up being taken in for questioning.
Around 11:30 Monday night two men forced their way into a home at 85th & Underwood.
Once inside they roughed up the homeowner, stole a change jar and took off.
That homeowner then grabbed his shot gun and went after the two suspects.
Both parties opened fire near the Apple Valley Apartments but no one was injured.
Once on scene police found an empty house but the owner soon came out of hiding without his gun.
Police later found the shot gun in some nearby bushes and matched it to the empty shells at the apartments.
The homeowner was taken into police custody for questioning but police are still looking for the two suspects.
They say the whole situation could be drug related.
