Four 13-year-old students in Burlington, Iowa were arrested Wednesday after their plan to bake marijuana-laced cookies in a home economics class was discovered.
Two were charged with felony delivery of marijuana and two with misdemeanor possession.
Several students at Edward Stone Middle School knew about the plan and notified administrators that pot had been mixed into the cookie dough during Tuesday's class. Burlington Police Lt. Jeff Klein said the dough was stored overnight, but the scheme was thwarted on Wednesday before the dough was baked.
