A new bridge on Highway 77 over the Platte River is finally open.
Construction on the $19.7 million project began nearly three years ago, in November of 2010.
There are some lane restrictions because crews are still laying asphalt. Only one lane is each direction is open.
All work on the new bridge should be finished by early next summer.
The old bridge, which opened in 1955, will be removed by late January of 2016.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bridge is set for 9:30 Wednesday morning.
