High security for court appearance.
Due to the nature of high risk/high profile trials the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be enacting certain security measures to ensure the safety and security of all persons during State of Nebraska vs. Anthony Garcia preliminary hearing on August 14, 2013, at 0900. The increased security measures include:
• A more focused law enforcement presence in and around the courthouse.
• 100% screening of all persons entering the courtroom to include wants and warrants checks. Persons wishing to enter the courtroom must present a valid photo ID.
• No loitering by persons not having business in the area of the courtroom.
• Entry into the courtroom will not be allowed while the hearing is in session.
Individuals wishing to attend the preliminary hearing are strongly encouraged to arrive at least thirty (30) minutes early to allow time for the increased security screening checks. Seating in the courtroom is on a first come first served basis. Persons will not be allowed to enter the courtroom after all seats are filled.
