Wednesday is a busy day in Douglas County Court with several high-profile cases being addressed in separate hearings.

A judge could decide whether accused serial killer Nikko Jenkins is competent to stand trial on four counts of first-degree murder.

Also, a 17-year-old mother and her two siblings will be in juvenile court in connection with a video posted online that showed her toddler swearing and talking about gang life.

Thirty-five-year-old Gregory Duncan, who faces third-degree felony assault charges, will be in court for a preliminary hearing. Ryan Langenegger was left bloodied and bruised after being attacked outside of the Pepperjax Grill at 12th and Howard in Omaha last October in what he said was a hate crime because he came to the defense of a gay friend.

Former UNO football coach Pat Behrns will be sentenced after getting caught in a prostitution sting. He was arrested for soliciting a prostitute and was one of 10 people arrested last July.
