Southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri until 4 a.m. Sunday. This includes Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.
On Friday morning, the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo set a record for the highest attendance ever at 1,602,832... and counting.
According to the zoo, the previous record was set back in 1995 at 1,602,831. Officials attribute the all-time high numbers to several factors, including the newly renovated Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium, new Prehistoric Play Park and Fossil Dig Site, and a new Guest Services building that separates Ticketing and Redemption. Trip Advisor also ranked Omaha's Henry Zoorly Zoo and Aquarium the number one zoo in the country.
Officials said the zoo also set records for attendance in January, March, May, June, and September.
