Kids battling cancer got some needed help on Thursday.
The Metro Area Youth Foundation raised money to help organizations to help families who are dealing with the issue.
Camp Co-Ho-Lo and the Children's Hospital Foundation are just two recipients.
The Youth Foundation’s Shellie Zeeb said, “These are charities we've worked with for many years and they actually have the kids to their facilities. They get to camp for a week and this actually relieves the parents from some of the stress and pain they go through."
Nebraska First Lady Sally Ganem was on hand to present the checks.
Our own Erin Murray was the emcee for the event.
