Authorities are asking for our help in solving a 13-year-old cold case homicide of a northeast Nebraska woman.
On August 21, 1999, the body of 54-year old, Jeanne Kassebaum was discovered in the bathtub of her West Point home. Initially her death was ruled an accident, until an autopsy determined she died of strangulation.
“Even though it’s been more than a decade since her death, we believe there are still people out there who know more about what happened the night she died,” said Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Melanie Lueders. “We would like to talk with anyone who might have information that could help us put those responsible for her death behind bars.”
Anyone with information that might help solve this cold case homicide, is asked to call the statewide Crime Stoppers number at 1-800-422-1492. Tips can also be reported via the internet by logging onto the Nebraska Crime Stoppers website at www.nebraskacrimestoppers.com.
Information could lead to a $1,000 cash reward.
