The youngster with epilepsy needed a $5,000 gait trainer. A therapist told the family the device would strengthen his legs but insurance would not cover the cost.
After our report, $7,000 in donations poured in.
Zane’s mom, Erika Clark, updated us Wednesday and sent along the picture you see on the left.
She sent her thanks and said, “six months ago this picture of him standing wasn't possible!”
At the time of our original reports Zane’s family told us the donations show why they live in the heartland.
With the surge in donations the therapist put in the order for the Gait Trainer.
