A Council Bluffs boy and his family are recovering emotionally after what appeared to be an attempted kidnapping on Thursday.
Autumn Harold says her 11-year-old son was home alone playing basketball outside when a man in an SUV pulled up and asked him to help him find his puppy. Her son ran inside and called 911.
“We have prepped all of our children," said Harold. "Don't approach strangers. If they approach you, run, go find somebody.”
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Council Bluffs police.
