The Shriners Hospital hosted a clinic inside their Omaha office Wednesday for kids who might have orthopaedic issues.
Kids and their families could speak one-on-one with a Physician’s Assistant. If the PA believes the hospital can treat the child, they will do so at one of their hospitals.
Krystal Neppl of Pacific Junction, Iowa said, “I just think this is a wonderful thing the Shriners are doing and it's wonderful for any kid to be able to get the opportunity to find some comfort."
Even if a family's insurance won't cover everything, the patient is not responsible for the remaining cost.
The Shriners in Omaha host this event twice a year.
