Bellevue Medical Center will host its fourth annual health fair with a mix several green-themed booths and activities with traditional health fair screenings and information at the area’s only Green Health Fair.
The idea behind the green theme is to promote a healthier community by drawing a connection between environmental health and physical health.
The fair will be held at Bellevue Medical Center on Saturday, May 17, from 8 to 11 a.m. This date is also the fourth anniversary of Bellevue Medical Center opening its doors.
The event will offer both free and reduced-cost screenings, some of which will require pre-registration to guarantee availability.
The free screenings that do not require registration include blood glucose checks, body fat analysis, kidney screenings and sun damage evaluations.
Participants can preregister for free asthma screenings and reduced-cost carotid artery ultrasounds for $30.00 each by calling 1-877-763-3001.
In addition, the hospital will give away free Bell bike helmets to the first 100 kids under the age of 15, and will offer several children’s activities including face painting and sunflower planting.
